Stop speaking negatively or fearfully about money and, most importantly, be grateful for whatever you have. Focus on your feelings about money and give yourself positive affirmations to practice daily. "I am wealthy on the inside and channel money to others: give money away with no strings attached, give money anonymously (the energy increases without your ego involved).” Accept money, accept gifts and stop saying "Oh, I don't need anything." Allow others to give you a gift and respond by graciously saying "thank you". Don't feel like you have to give something back. Create new "income streams" that flow without your direct involvement. Money can be fun, mysterious, and invigorating! You can create money! Think about your feelings about money. What are your financial dreams? Does money scare you? How can money help you? What can you learn about money? We weren't taught enough money lessons, especially not about creating money in healthy, innovative ways.

It is OK to be financially successful! I have realized that my basic needs are simple, my wants are complex, and my vision for the world is huge and costly.

How to join a "money group"?

Find women who are interested and open to exploring money in their lives.

When, where, and length of time

       Make a time commitment.

       Keep a money journal.

       You are a Powerful Woman

How does that feel? Do you embrace it or push it away? We are endowed with power by our very birth and then shy away from the knowledge and acceptance of it. What are we afraid of? I think it is important that, as women, we study power and what it means to us. The dictionary defines power as: "having the ability to do, act or produce, great ability to do, act or affect strongly; vigor; force; strength.”

      Power means to me:

Standing strongly in my own center and living from my heart.

       Honesty, wisdom and strength

How can we increase "healthy power" as women? Information is powerful!

      Consider:

       Spiritual power

       Intellectual power

       Physical power

       Financial power

       Emotional power

       Healing power

       Love power

When I think of powerful female role models, I think of Eleanor Roosevelt, Oprah, Princess Diana, Maya Angelou, my mother and grandmother, Michelle Obama, Barbara Bush, Rabbi Gaylia Rooks, Rosa Parks, Mother Terresa. (There are so many powerful women!) Who are your role models? In what ways are you like them? What do you admire most about them? Women think of powerful or "power over"? Do you think of power as domination and having control over others? As women, we need to redefine power. It is time for us to create power, be visible power, and accept power.

Living with money and living without money.

The Law of Attraction: I have lived with and without money. The lessons I learned were invaluable.

Here are some things I learned about living with money.

Money doesn't solve all problems. It makes some things easier and some things more difficult.

When you have money, others may need or want some and then you need to decide.

Money can act as an insulator and separate you from others.

People can get jealous and judgmental about your money and how you choose to spend it.

Living with money can cause fears of living without money.

Hoarding, cheapness, extravagance, poor planning can sabotage.

       Money guilt can occur.

You might have money and your friends might not. How would that work out?

Sharing money can be more complicated than it seems.

Money is fun and can provide an outstanding environment. What happens in those environments is up to you!

Forms of Power for Women Who Mean Business

For women in business, there is a difference between being taken seriously and being overbearing. People can, at times, be intimidated by a woman of power and influence, also known as a woman who means business! However, more and more women are succeeding at being powerful in business, politics, and the community. If we use our power wisely and surround ourselves with other successful people who support us, then being powerful can be a positive and great experience for us and those around us. It can also boost our success. Here are 5 different power forms you can evaluate and leverage for yourself:

1 Personal Power: Personal power is for each of us, as it starts and ends inside of us and benefits us and those around us. This form of power speaks to your personal vision. It encompasses who you are as a person, with all your natural talents, gifts, and passions. Having a sense of personal power means connecting with yourself, being true to who you are as a person, and knowing your strengths. Here are some questions to ask yourself about personal power: Do you value yourself and matter to you? What are your #1 gifts and talents? How can you make a difference to yourself and in the world?

2 Professional Power: Professional Power speaks to the professions each of us has chosen. You can be most effective in your profession if you truly connect with how you are spending your worklife. It's about the meaning as well as the money. It's about doing what you love to do as a result of who you are as a person. It's about contributing, offering a product or service that you can speak of with enthusiasm, passion, and joy. It's also about associating with others in the profession, upgrading the profession, and belonging to professional organizations. It's about always learning and training to be the most effective professional you can be. It's about not compromising your beliefs or ethics to make a buck. It's about letting who you are and what you do seep out of your pores.

3 Financial Power: Financial Power speaks to your relationship with money, your ability to earn what you deserve and spend consciously. Financial power comes from an attitude of choice and abundance, rather than deprivation. The financially powerful woman looks for multiple streams of income, spends within her means, and plans/invests for the future, so she can feel secure and abundant at all times. How would you rate your financial health on a scale of 1 to 10? Do you feel financially powerful? What is one thing you need to change about your financial picture starting today?

4 Network Power: Networking is an incredibly powerful way to get your message out in the community. If you focus on connecting with other people and have an attitude of service, mutuality, and prosperity, you can reap huge benefits, as well as benefit others. There are social networks, business networks, political networks, community networks, and many other types of networks you can participate in and access. Since time is limited, you need to be selective about who you network with. It is easy to get caught up in drama, gossip, and defeating networks of people who do not take care of themselves or help others to prosper. Instead, you can collaborate and everyone wins! Think about your #1 social, business, and community networks. Are they working with and for you? Are you more of a giver, a taker, or a mutual-minded person?

5 Global Power: Global power is the ability to be aware of the large and small world we live in, to see the big picture of life and where we can fit into the global community. People with global power tend to be aware of world events, larger systems, cultures, communities, as well as their own internal and family world. Some questions to ask yourself: Are you aware of what is happening in your world and the world beyond? Are you educating yourself about technology and how it can work for you? Do
