       Mindwalking Preparation

      Select a recurring thought form that limits you in some way. The following suggestions and examples are designed to help you identify that thought as you fill in the blanks:

      • Think of something you heard about yourself when you were a child—something negative or unflattering that on some level you accepted as the truth.

       Example: “Eat, you’re too skinny,” or “Look at you. Look at how fat you are.”

      • Or something negative that you say to yourself about yourself.

       Example: How could I be so stupid?”

      • Bring to mind a recurring negative pattern in your life when reading the following sentences and fill in the blanks:

      image I am/am not _________________________________ (a negative trait).

       Example: “I am not lovable; therefore nobody loves me.”

      image My parents/teacher/loved one told me that I am/am not

      ____________________________________________________.

       Example: “You are lazy and will never be successful.”

      image I never or I will never

      ____________________________________________________.

       Example: “I will never let anyone get close to me so I won’t be hurt again.”

      image I will always or I always

      ____________________________________________________.

       Example: “I will always be afraid to say what I really think.”

      Select one of the above that you want to eliminate in the mindwalking experience. Then, create a new positive thought to replace it with.

      Note: You can do the mindwalking experience as many times as you would like, working through your list, even adding to it if more comes to mind, until all negative thought forms have been replaced.

       Mindwalking Process

      After making your selection of a thought, you are ready to embark on a walk through your mind! Here are some important things for you to know before you start.

      In this journey you will be working in what Carlos Castaneda, who wrote of the teachings of Don Juan, and Michael Harner, anthropologist, founder and president of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, called non-ordinary reality (NOR) in which you have the potential to actually transform your ordinary reality on all levels—spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical. In this state you will be able to easily access past-life events. Non-ordinary reality is the state of conscious that shamans enter into when they interact with, see, touch, hear, feel, and change ordinary reality. You can do this also, without having to be trained as a shaman. Setting a positive intention for yourself is the key.

      To assist you in reaching this state of non-ordinary reality, it would be beneficial for you to listen to a drumbeat or altered-state music. Shamanic journey drumming of single or multiple drums is best for this purpose and will assist you in entering into the necessary state of consciousness.

      The script references Archangel Michael, the Lord of the Way. He will protect you as you do your mindwalking, making sure that you are ready for the changes to come. He will also stand guard to prevent any outside energies from interfering while you are in the brain cavity.

      Your third eye will be your energetic point of entry into your mind and into the brain itself. When you have entered into your brain cavity, you will think the thought you have chosen to change while at the same time feeling the emotion of it. This will initiate the process to discover the past-life source of the negative and limiting thought you have selected. Once you have identified the neural pathway carrying the thought, you will actually walk down it. As you walk, you will go back in time until you reach a past-life. This may be one of a series of related lives that built that thought, so you must see if the pathway continues even further back. You want to go to the birth of the thought. By clearing it, you clear all of the linked lives. Therefore, if the path continues on, you will keep walking until you reach the end. That will be the lifetime you are looking for. If the path ends at the first past-life you encounter, you have reached your destination. The original life will give you the information you need about how the thought was generated and what spiritual work is necessary to release it. After you have done your work, the energy is turned off to the pathway and its tributaries. It will shrivel up. With the replacement thought in mind, you will then create a new pathway to carry it. Before you return, you will ask that the energy of the elixir of the Tree of Life flow through you to finish the healing on all levels. The mindwalking is then complete, and you will return to consciousness.
