do I enjoy doing (at work and for fun)?

       What gets my heart racing?

       What am I good at?

What could I spend ALL day talking about?

Who does what I like professionally?

If I close my eyes can I imagine myself doing it?

Based on your answers you either found you are following your passion or need to adjust course. Move to Step 3.

Step 3 – Are you prepared to commit everything to your passion? Anything less than a complete commitment to your passion will result in failure.

Are you prepared to commit at that level?

The key thing I learned in my own evolution is that you will only find your passion

After you start searching for it.

       Committing to Your Passion

Step 3 of the Passion Check asked the simple question: “Are you prepared to commit everything to your passion?” Do not take this question lightly.

In order to achieve the level of success you want, it’s going to take a lot of work that extends well beyond “Normal Business Hours”. Regardless of your role, you are going to see there is a lot of work to do before and after you present your information to “them”.

I am not suggesting you become a work-a-holic. I want you to understand that when you are following your passion the rewards you receive will be directly proportional to the effort you invest in your work.

       Power Tip

       Have someone who can double

       check your work/life balance

       Maintain Balance

As you follow your passion there may be times when your passion sucks you in and swallows you whole. It is important to maintain balance and have someone who will let you know when you have lost balance.

Make sure you have at least one person with whom you are close (spouse, partner, family member, or friend) who will tell you, “It’s time for a break”.

Although it is important to have a passion for your chosen career, it is extremely important to maintain your physical and mental well-being so that you can look forward to achieving your passion in the years ahead.

In order to lead the most fulfilled life possible and achieve the highest level of success possible you must:

       Find something

       you can be passionate about!

       Have Fun

Every time you left the house,

       whether you were going to

       school, heading out with

friends, or going to work, the

       last thing you heard was

       “HAVE FUN!”

       What a simple motivational

       message.

I never understood the importance of “Have Fun” until I got older.

Assuming you are following Your Passion, make sure you are having FUN every single day.

      Think of the benefits:

It is easier and more enjoyable

       You are more motivated

       You have less stress

       You are more pleasant

You are more helpful and provide greater value

“They” will respond to you better

       You WILL BE MORE SUCCESSFUL

If you ask ANY highly successful person, they will tell you that they enjoy what they do and they have FUN doing it.

If you are not having fun, ask yourself:

Do I have a skill deficiency?

Am I missing some processes or tools?

Do I have financial or family stresses?

Do I need more of a challenge?

Can I make a game out of my current job?

Do I simply need an attitude adjustment?

Identify barriers to fun and remember that often your attitude is the ONLY thing standing between you and FUN.

Never work another day in your life. Go out and

       Have Fun!

       Aim High

You had a childhood hero and

you wanted to be just like

       them.

You wanted to do all the

       incredible things they did but

       You didn’t think you could

       EVER do that.

       Your mother would remind

you that you can do anything

       you wanted and that you

       should always

       “Aim High.”

Somewhere along the line you heard one or more variations:

       Aim High

       Reach For the Stars

       Think Big

       Go Big or Go Home

The message was always the same: go for more than you are going for right now and don’t underestimate yourself.

Throughout your life you have run into some roadblocks and challenges. Some challenges you overcame, others you went around, and a few you chose to simply ignore.

These experiences may have made you wary of taking on your next Great Adventure. This is where the problem begins.

Most people tend to underestimate their true potential, and they “settle” for less than they could be. This WILL have huge negative impacts on your ability to achieve the results you desire.
