not so far out of our way

To help those in need, and pray each day

That our world will come together

And find a way to over come

      This thing called hunger

      In our twenty-first century

      Let us start anew

For the sake of the children

We must make sure, they have a good future

Join forces, and make it happen

So it will be, something of the past

      No one needs to know

The suffering of this thing, we call hunger.

      Seeing the Galaxies

As I stand on the rings of Saturn

Oh! What a sight to see!

      The wonders of the galaxies

Make me weak at the knees

Seeing the many moons, twenty-one indeed

I often wonder about other beings

Hopefully, one day to meet them

And treat them as part of my family

I want to travel to other worlds

And see the beauty of universal pearls

Watching the Milky Way as it passes

In the early part of the day

How beautiful it is in every which way

As I travel, hopefully, to many different worlds

Let me take with me, the hope of peace and harmony

That all beings from earth to the end of all

Other galaxies, are indeed created equally

So, as I make my travels, hopefully, to all other galaxies

I must remember though, we’re all God’s creatures

And he created us, just so.

      I’ve Seen the Heavenly Light

One night, as I laid me down

I gently closed my eyes to sleep

      Faraway it seemed to be

And then I saw the heavenly light

      Slowly it did approach me

So bright it hurt my eyes

Then suddenly, I saw a figure

      Dressed in all white

A wonderful glow from his head to his toes

I saw my father whom I’d loved

      With all my might

      His face was cancer-free

From the disease that had taken him from me

Thrilled to see him just one more time

My heart was full of glee

As I laid my head upon his shoulder

I cried and told him of all my pains and woe

He put his left arm around me

And lifted up his right hand

Suddenly we turned to the right

And what a sight I did see

      A river of still water

Not a ripple nor wave it had

Its color of blue I’ve never seen before

Most often I’d heard it foretold, though

      Such peace came over me

      Something I’ve never felt before

The sun so bright and trees so green

      Unlike anything on planet earth

I then asked my father if I could stay, forever

He said, “My child, you must return

“And everything will be all right

“Your work on earth is not yet finished

“For I know I’ve been chosen

“For something that man cannot diminish

“For there is a heaven with a light so bright

“It will forever outshine the sun

“All we have to do is just believe

“And he will help us make it through

“One day, if we can all be faithful

“We will enjoy having that everlasting life

“I know, because I’ve seen the heavenly light.”
