Besides daydreaming and mental absence, signs of a lack of grounding include: low body awareness, perception disturbances, weak physical manifesting power, retreating and isolation from other people, difficulties with social structures, little basic trust, low self-love or statements like: “I never really arrived here” or “I’m never really understood by the world”.
In our spiritual development, there comes a point at which progress is only possible if we’re fully grounded. Expansion of consciousness and holistic development doesn’t only involve a connection upwards, to the spiritual spheres, but also downwards into the heart of the Earth. This is essential if we’re to function and act in an optimal manner as human beings. The soul has to be one hundred percent integrated into its physical body if it’s going to be able to implement on the physical level all that it has set itself in its soul plan. Both are therefore necessary: that we’re physically well grounded and that we connect subtly with higher energy levels. This is the only way we can fully fulfil our soul plan. The better we’re grounded – that is the deeper we’re anchored in our physical body – the higher we can move upwards into the subtle spheres. This is because a good grounding allows us, firstly, to vibrate more beautifully and harmoniously, and secondly, to have a stable anchor point so that, after excursions on the subtle level, we can land again properly each time in three-dimensionality. However, being well grounded doesn’t mean becoming the element earth ourselves, because that would slow our vibration down again. Grounding ourselves well simply means that we connect to the energy of the Earth.
If a soul isn’t integrated into its body, but is either next to its body or behind its body, or floating a few meters above its body, it is still connected to its physical body, because otherwise the person would be dead. But this is similar to the situation of coma patients, where in many cases the soul is outside the body, while the energy connection to the body still exists: the soul is then still connected to the body with a kind of silver thread. In death, this thread would have been broken and the energy connection would have been dissolved so that the soul could travel on.
In the case of people who aren’t sufficiently grounded, their soul may not be completely outside their body, but it may not be completely inside the body either. For example, it’s possible for it to be properly integrated only into the right half of the body and to be only half integrated into the left. Or vice versa. The right side always stands for the male energies and qualities and the left for the female. If someone is only grounded on the right and not on the left, the female energy of the soul is not sufficiently anchored. Conversely, the same applies to male energy. Most of those affected probably don’t notice this at all, but it still has an impact on their lives. Such people are called upon to become centred and bring both energies – the masculine and the feminine – into a harmonious balance.
If earlier traumas, shocks or accidents are the cause of the lack of grounding, these should be dissolved so that the soul can finally enter the body completely. If the blockage has not been caused by trauma, it may have been caused by either too many oaths, pledges, promises and the like, which have been made in the past and which are no longer relevant, or by the person concerned saying in a previous life that they never wanted to come back to Earth again. If this sentence has once been said, it’s stored in the soul and precisely this can be what prevents the complete arrival of the soul in the body in a later incarnation, because a part of the soul doesn’t want to be here on Earth at all. These programs should also be dissolved and replaced by joie de vivre.
Everything we think, feel, say and do is stored in the Akasha Chronicle on the one hand, as well as in our subtle aura and in the cells of our physical body on the other. We take all this energy information and these patterns with us into our next incarnations, because they don’t dissolve automatically with the death of the physical body.
Grounding is a prerequisite for unfolding your potential
At the moment, the body and soul of many human beings still have a different vibration frequency. For further development, however, it’s essential that these frequencies are synchronised, that body and soul vibrate at about the same level. Obviously, the soul shouldn’t take on the lower frequency of the body, but the body the higher frequency of the soul. The overarching plan is for human beings to ascend to a higher dimension together with their physical bodies. Our challenge is therefore to develop ourselves spiritually on the one hand, and to ground ourselves completely in our body on the other. Through spiritual development, the chakras above your head open, and through grounding, the chakras under your feet open. As I said, both are equally important.
Good grounding also stabilises our aura. Particularly if we are very sensitive and a lot of spiritual information comes in all at the same time, being grounded acts as protection – like a lightning conductor. Our aura directly surrounds our body. It’s a kind of electromagnetic field and serves as our personal shield, among other things. Further out, our aura mixes with all the other auras, sometimes making it wobble and become unstable. Our aura then no longer supports and protects us properly. However, if we’re well grounded, our aura is more stable and we are less bewildered.
Another benefit of good grounding is that it’s much easier for us to use our subtle channels of perception. If a person who is not completely in their body had subtle perceptions as well, the soul of that person would be even less in their body.
How to improve your grounding
As a reminder of what you can do, for example, to improve your own grounding, here is the list from Book 2 once more:
physical exercise (through sport, hiking, dancing, etc.)
walk barefoot consciously
work with your hands
do chakra work on your lower chakras (root chakra or earth star chakra)
connect with the heart of the Earth
use the frequency of crystals
transform belief patterns that prevent grounding
develop awareness of nature (recognise that every stone, every plant, every animal and everything created has consciousness and that the Earth herself is also a living being capable of communication)

Body being and cell communication
Once we become well grounded and have developed the appropriate sensitivity, something very ingenious comes to light with respect to our physical body: We can communicate with all our organs as well as with all our body cells! We can even receive all kinds of information from other living beings because we are constantly in conscious exchange with everything that exists here on planet Earth.
Our physical body is not just a clumsy sack we carry around with us. It consists of countless cells, each of which has an incredible potential. This potential of our body cells is much greater than most people think. The skin cells, for example, constantly receive information from all living beings all over the world, and we, the soul, can enter into conscious communication with all our cells. Theoretically, all of us are able to communicate with our cells, but most people have forgotten about it. It is however possible for us to remember this again and to realise that as soon as we’re grounded enough, we can dock our consciousness directly onto our body being. Our body being will be totally happy about that! That’s actually when our body-life really starts. If we appreciate our earthly existence, if we are grateful and, full of joy, honour the fact that we’re human beings – with everything that belongs to that, including our body – then we connect ourselves to all that lies deep within our cells. That’s ingenious! We can then either communicate with our body being as a whole or with its individual parts.
