Many of the trends that we wrote of last month are still in effect this month. The 8th House is very powerful until the 21st. This shows the prosperity of the partner (and his or her finances are much, much better than last month, and probably because of your personal efforts) and his or her generosity with you. It shows the ability to access outside money, such as lines of credit or outside investors if you need them. Debts are easily paid (and easily made). December is a great month (just like last month) for refinancing old debt on more favourable terms. Professional investors, or those of you who have investment portfolios, should look at bonds and the bond market for profit opportunities. After the 5th, as your financial planet moves into Capricorn and your 9th House, foreign investments seem interesting. The blue chip conservative stocks are probably best then. The 9th House is considered the most fortunate House of the Horoscope, so the financial planet moving through there shows good fortune—financial increase. While this is not the aspect for a lottery winner (Capricorn is much too conservative for that) it does show luck with calculated risks.

On a spiritual level the 8th House rules the deeper things of life; deeper understanding of life after death, reincarnation, resurrection and ascension. It shows a person’s desire to reinvent and transform him or herself (a form of personal resurrection). So these interests become more important in the month ahead. You will increase your understanding of these subjects.

On a more mundane level it shows enhanced libido and greater sexual activity.

After the 21st your focus is more on foreign travel, foreign affairs and foreign people. You are more interested in foreign cultures and languages. There is a greater interest in religion, philosophy and metaphysics. And with so much power in your 9th House (40 to 50 per cent of the planets are either there or move through there), there will be religious revelation and philosophical breakthroughs if you want them. Happy travel and educational opportunities come. For students there is good fortune in your studies.

Love seems very happy this month and singles have wonderful opportunities from the 20th onwards. There is more closeness in existing relationships too. You and the beloved are basically on the same page, seeing eye to eye. You are not clones of each other—you have your own individuality—but you are in harmony, in agreement, and seeing things from a similar perspective.

Health is excellent all month. You can enhance it further by giving more attention to the liver and thighs (until the 25th) and to the spine, knees, teeth, bones and skeletal alignment all month (and for the next two years).

Gemini is to society what the nervous system is to the body. It does not introduce any new information but is a vital transmitter of impulses from the senses to the brain and vice versa. The nervous system does not judge or weigh these impulses—it only conveys information. And does so perfectly.

This analogy should give you an indication of a Gemini’s role in society. Geminis are the communicators and conveyors of information. To Geminis the truth or falsehood of information is irrelevant, they only transmit what they see, hear or read about. Thus they are capable of spreading the most outrageous rumours as well as conveying truth and light. Geminis sometimes tend to be unscrupulous in their communications and can do great good or great evil with their power. This is why the Sign of Gemini is called the Sign of the Twins: Geminis have a dual nature.

Their ability to convey a message—to communicate with such ease—makes Geminis ideal teachers, writers and media and marketing people. This is helped by the fact that Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini, also rules these activities.

Geminis have the gift of the gab. And what a gift this is! They can make conversation about anything, anywhere, at any time. There is almost nothing that is more fun to Geminis than a good conversation—especially if they can learn something new as well. They love to learn and they love to teach. To deprive a Gemini of conversation, or of books and magazines, is cruel and unusual punishment.

Geminis are almost always excellent students and take well to education. Their minds are generally stocked with all kinds of information, trivia, anecdotes, stories, news items, rarities, facts and statistics. Thus they can support any intellectual position that they care to take. They are awesome debaters and, if involved in politics, make good orators.

Geminis are so verbally smooth that even if they do not know what they are talking about,
