to everyone.

By the time you become cool, there will be nothing to prove to anybody and also no reason. Nevertheless, you may well surprise yourself. No one really knows what he is capable of until he dares to “jump”.

      18. Earn money and come back.

If you manage to earn all the millions that you’ve been dreaming of, you won’t be back. The fact is that by the time you achieve it, you will see how much you’ve changed, without noticing it yourself. And your new life has become more familiar and understandable to you. After all, while you were away, the world did not stand still.

      19. Check the world, show yourself.

You will see the world in between work and survival. In a new place, in most cases, you have to be on your own. Competition is crazy. Especially when the same “hungry” as you come in every year.

      20. Only the losers return.

Everyone wants to come back as a winner. Nobody wants to return home with their tail between their legs. Another thing is that only few people think “what was it for?” and “what did he get by the end?” Sometimes, a reassessment of values leads to other vectors of thinking, and later actions accordingly.

      Preparing to move

One of my favorite stages nowadays is planning and preparation. Anticipation of something new, interesting and long-awaited. How to Prepare? I’ll tell you now.

      1) Check all documents and their expiration date. If any of them comes to an end soon, then update before you leave. Serious problems can arise if something needs to be updated during the move or on the other side of the border.

      2) Take enough ID photos. In the new country, they will be needed for local registration. Running to look for where it is done there will be much more difficult. In addition, you will have to spend more money than at home.

      3) If you need to certify any documents, translate or confirm, then do it right away. It is strongly unprofitable to do it abroad.

      4) Visit all the doctors and do a full check of your body.

      5) Get yourself in order. Beauty salons and other establishments will also be out of the access zone for financial reasons.

      6) Make sure you have clothes and shoes for all occasions. I don’t think you will want to go shopping and spend all the money brought before you make money in local currency.

      7) Set aside an emergency supply of money that you will take with you. This is the money that you may need in case of an emergency. (For example: If you suddenly need to fly back home urgently.)

      8) Study the country you are flying to in advance. Everything, everything, everything.

      9) Find out where to go immediately after arrival to arrange local documents and what exactly is required. (Tax office, doctors, residence permit, bank.) This will save a lot of time and nerves.

      10) Tell your loved ones the coordinates and contact details of all points of your movement. This is for your own safety.

      11) Pack the necessary first aid kit with you. Anything can happen in life. Find out in advance what you can bring, as many drugs may be prohibited.

      12) Finish all unfinished business at home, so that there is no twitching, and that nothing distracts you from building a new life.

      13) Collect the maximum amount of money. Believe me, you will need all of it there more than here. Give up the momentary spending on all sorts of little things, save these funds.

      14) No need to vigorously celebrate your departure the day before. The consequences of such events have long been known. You will initially create difficulties for yourself from the scratch.

      15) Get some rest and sleep. Gain strength. There it’s needed in earnest.

      Studies

Fortunately, we live in a “well-pumped Internet” era when everything can be found within two clicks. All higher educational institutions now have websites and detailed information on how to enter and what is needed. It is worth noting that the search should be started as soon as possible because the documents are accepted in each country in its own order.

There are plenty of agencies that can make your life easier for you for a certain amount of money. They will deal with the whole process from and to. Your task will simply be to make a choice: Where do you want to go and what do you want to study?

The study itself will require a lot of effort. More than if you studied in your native language. You will also need training materials, which in turn will either cost money or be difficult to get for free. Be prepared for more costs. In particular, if the specialty you chose is related to any handicraft. Plan it in advance: finances and energy.

Work placement or Internship is a great opportunity to test yourself and see what you are capable of. It gives you the chance to “touch” the real world and evaluate your developments. It will give you an idea of what awaits you. It’s a great deal to set up an experiment and check which jobs and career directions you prefer. This is a plus for CV.

Universities usually offer many resources for your development. You can become a class leader and rise to the student committee board leader. You can earn extra money in the student union at the university: get experience working on the radio or in a team of journalists. Every month there will be contests, events, programs in which you can take part. Any extracurricular activity promotes new acquaintances, helps to broaden horizons, develops new skills and leads to better understanding of yourself. Participate in everything! Stay up to date and don’t miss your chances! You never know how life will turn out and what will come in handy.

Now about how much all this is needed. Rather, what exactly does education abroad provide, in addition to the certificate itself and professional knowledge?

“The diploma/paper itself” – as one of my teachers liked to say – “is worthless. You can print many of them.”

This is a challenge to yourself. A reason to find out where your boundaries and ceiling are. A chance to start all over again, where all your “previous services to the Fatherland are not counted”. By giving up who you were, you will acquire yourself completely new. An incredible springboard to get out of your comfort zone, as you constantly have to overcome yourself and set new records.

Education abroad removes the framework of consciousness and gives freedom of possibilities in the Universe of options for your development.

Is it worth it? Undoubtedly, Yes!

      Employment

At the time of this writing, I have had the following experience:

      ► 15 jobs

► Attended more than 70 job interviews

► Had more than 3,000 interviews from the position of a recruiter

      • Don’t believe the promises that you can get a job without a language and everything will be OK.

      • Even if you come with a group of amateur tourists, determined to conquer new peaks, in the end you will still be alone.

      • Working through agencies is not profitable. Part of the salary will go to them, and there is no guarantee that tomorrow you will also be called to work.

      • “Trial days” are a scam. It’s a pure charity work. Any trial day must be paid.
