Voodoo Love Spell
To make a powerful Voodoo love power, burn a handful of dried roses on a night when the moon is full, and mix the ashes with the powdered skull of a serpent and a pinch of white sand.
On a Friday night (when the power of Erzulie is the most intense), make a small wax doll to symbolize the man or woman from whom you desire love. Mix a small bit of hair, blood, or powdered fingernail clippings from the intended lover with the wax to give the doll power. (To make it even stronger, dress it in a piece of fabric obtained from the clothing of the person whom the doll is made to represent.)
After the doll has been made, light a tall, pink candle. Tie a red string around the doll and then sprinkle a bit of the love powder over it and say:

Pour some champagne on the ground as a libation to the loa, give thanks to her and then wrap the love doll in a white cloth and keep it safe in a secret place.
To break the love spell, untie the red string from the wax doll to release the lover from the power of Erzulie and then burn the doll in a forest clearing when the moon is waning.
To Make a Lover Come to You
Stick two silver pins through the middle of a red candle at midnight. Concentrate on your lover and repeatedly chant his or her name out loud. When the candle burns down to the pins, your lover will arrive. (This, according to a modern grimoire of folk magick.)
To Reclaim the Affections of a Lost Lover
Thrust two pins or needles through the wick of a burning candle as you say out loud the name of the lover whose affections you desire.
Tulip Spell
Write the name of the man or woman from whom you desire love next to your name on a tulip bulb (sacred to Venus, the goddess of love). Plant the bulb in the earth and when the tulip blooms, so shall your love.
The Willow Knot Spell
To win the love of a young lady, according to old Gypsy Witch lore, a young man must go into the woods on Saint John’s Day (Midsummer) and find some willow twigs that have grown together into a knot. With a sharp, white-handled knife, he must cut the twigs, put them into his mouth, and repeat the following incantation with his eyes closed:

The Spell of Nine
To make any person desire you, perform this spell at nine o’clock on a night when the moon is in Taurus. Write the full name of the man or woman you love, along with yours, nine times on a tall pink candle. Anoint the candle with a fragrant mixture of rose water and honey, light it, and let it burn for nine minutes, every night at nine o’clock for nine nights in a row.
On the ninth night, after the candle has been extinguished, wrap it tightly in a piece of pink silk. Tie it securely with a pink ribbon and bury it in a churchyard. (It is very important that you bury it without anyone seeing you, or else the spell will lose its effectiveness.)
To Restore a Lover’s Affections
Mix a pinch of your powdered fingernail clippings with red wine and then serve it to your unsuspecting lover on a night when the moon is in a waxing phase.
Ancient Gypsy Love Spell
Upon an onion or garlic bulb, write the name of the man or woman you wish to have as your lover. Plant it in a red clay pot; and as you do this, repeat the person’s name aloud. Every day at sunrise and at sunset you must water the pot and recite the following magickal incantation over it: AS THIS ROOT GROWS, SO SHALL THE LOVE OF (name of your beloved) GROW FOR ME.

At midnight when the waxing moon is in either the sign of Libra or Taurus, cast into a blazing hearth fire a pinch of rosemary, dragon’s blood, two rose petals, and any of the following dried roots: mandrake, serpentaria, ginseng. As the magickal herbs burn, relax and fill your mind with romantic visions of the man or woman from whom you desire love and affection. Chant out loud his or her name until the fire burns itself completely out.
