the two humans pulled aside a couple of large wooden trays. The elf piled the savory smoked food onto the trays and held her hand out expectantly for the coins. Kida handed her five and beamed as they walked away, clearly pleased with the purchase. It took several minutes of crowd-parting for the six to find their way back to the inn, a large building with spirals carved into the corners and similar pillars placed outward from the door to form a bit of shelter from the weather. A wooden sign painted in gold and green read 'Halfmoon Inn' in both common and Elven, the latter written above the former in a much more loopy script. While the background was colorful, the lettering was in an ebony black to stand out against it. The inn stood fifteen meters in height, the spiral tops of the corner columns reaching up several more with white caps from the winter snow.
