taking a cold shower in the morning, and if that’s too much right away, start with semi-cold showers and work your way up to cold ones.

      Tim Ferris, author of “The 4-Hour Work Week”, “The 4-Hour Chef”, and “The 4-Hour Body takes ice cold baths and reads a book as part of his meditation while doing it. Imagine that?

      That is my future goal, to take ice cold baths, but right now I’m taking cold showers, which is a great way of training your mindset.

      The last and final thing I do in my morning routine after my cold shower is drink my third bottle of water and then make my special Keurig cup of organic coffee, called “Death Wish Coffee”. This coffee is my secret cup to sip on right when I’m about to tackle my day of “to dos”. If puts me on top of the world and makes me feel like I can actually fly in the sky.       By this time at least 2 hours has gone by and I’m now ready to take anything that comes my way with the right attitude, focus, state of mind, alertness, and power to being in the present moment.

      This is a ritual that works for me. Your “me” time might be different, but the importance is that you should have a routine in the morning. Center yourself on the day for focus. If you don’t have a full 2 hours to get ready in the morning for your “me” time, at least stretch, start off hydrating your body with water and wait at least 2 hours before drinking your first cup of coffee.

      Even if you have to be at work at a certain time, get up when your alarm goes off and arise with purpose. Sit at the edge of the bed and meditate. If you hit that snooze button multiple times, you already started off your day on the wrong track. At least wake up, sit on the bed, drink water and think positive on how productive and great you will be today. Now, I want you to just imagine how I feel when I go through this morning ritual everyday compared to what I was doing several years ago.
