Introduction
Empowering people to realize that they determine the outcome of their own lives is not always easy. In fact it’s often an overwhelming venture. Over the years I have wondered about what really make the difference in people’s life, what is it that really differentiate the poor from the rich.
This dilemma and some of my personal life experiences was what gave birth to this book. We all have dreams and certain targets that we want to attain in life, but it takes some certain level of discipline, acknowledging, and applying some life principles to be able to live our dreams.
Too many people fail in life because of the limited information available to them. We live in an information age; the more information you can access, the further you can advance in your chosen field of endeavor. In other words, seeking profound information is one of the fundamental steps in building a successful life.
If you want to cook, you study cooking, and you follow the rules and principles regarding the combining of ingredients and preparation that has been found to work successfully in the past. You would not think to add or subtract key ingredients and expect the dish that you are preparing to taste the same as if you followed the proven pattern. In the same token, you would not expect to succeed in life and start living beyond your limitations by violating the essential laws and principles which has been discovered and practiced by some of the most successful people in our world today.
It’s therefore of utmost importance to understand that your success in life will largely be dependent on discovering and applying what works and not just wishing and hoping for miracles.
Universal laws and principles are similar to telephone numbers. If you dial the right numbers, you will definitely get through to the right person that you desire to talk to.
If you are genius, smart, and intelligent, you won’t get through if you omit any one of the digits of the numbers. This analogy further confirms the law of cause and effect propounded by Aristotle so many years ago, which states that “in every effect there is an equal and opposite cause” which literally means that if you do what others did and succeed, you will also succeed.
Time and time again, I have been obsessed with the questions: What is the difference between the rich and the poor? Why is it that people who are from very humble background with no connection or even support still manage to rise to the top of their carriers in a very short period of time?
The more I ask these questions, the more I discover that there are some intangible successful values, attitudes, and approaches to life that sets us apart from our peers. These same values are some of the key ingredients that determine how far we go in life.
The purpose of this book, therefore, is to help you understand this values or principles and how you can immediately apply them to your own life for a triumphant change and advancement in your life.
In fact this book is fundamentally aimed at pulling you, the reader, out of any shackles of limitation, fear, and despair facing you right now. In your journey through this book, you will uncover twelve profound laws on how to provoke success in any area of your life.
I wrote this book out of my dissatisfaction on how poorly individuals perform in life without realizing and utilizing the powers, potentials, skills, and ideals given to them by God. Oftentimes these problems are caused by what I call self-limiting beliefs, a mind-set of unworthiness, fear, low self-esteem, etc. This book is a wake-up call to the twenty-first-century youth that there is more to their life than they are currently expressing.
