And let me add this: it’s not only about work. My home is also organized in such a way that things are comfortable and easy. I’m not obsessive compulsive, but I attribute much of my success to staying organized. My purse is always in the same place, and my cabinets are organized. The drawers in my bathroom are even organized.
And I cleanse by getting rid of anything I have not used in a few months. I can actually feel the difference energetically! Try it and see for yourself.
By the way, while you’re de-cluttering your environment, grab a shovel and dig out of the mind-clutter you’ve been hoarding. I’ll say it again. Wellness involves more than just a yearly physical, exercise and healthy eating. Mental and emotional stability are just as important. Clearing your mind is an important aspect of mental balance.
It’s easy to allow overwhelm and responsibility to bury you. Make a commitment to yourself and clean your mental house every night before you go to bed.
And cut yourself some slack! Think about everything you have to do in a single day. If you listed every task you complete from the time you get out of bed until you turn off the lights at night, you’d probably be stunned by how much you actually do. How the heck DO you manage to get all of it done? Well, sometimes you get things done and sometimes you don’t. If you do a daily clearing, you’ll avoid having those “don’ts” add up and stare you in the face the next day. You’ll bring yourself back into what? Right! Balance.
Our thoughts are central to maintaining balance. Get in the habit of monitoring your thoughts. That’s where change begins. You need to know where you are before you determine where you want to go next. Your thoughts will take you there.
