It was Thursday night, March 23, nearly a week since Gallagher responded to the manager of Wal-Mart and kicked Sheila and Kenny out of the store. There was paperwork on his desk, all of it had to do with Sheila LaBarre.
One report filled out by a patrolman on March 8 said that Sheila had called requesting police contact a man living in Somersworth. He was a tenant living at one the properties Sheila still owned. She wanted the officer to tell the man not to come onto her property. The report said the tenant had come to the farm and left a note for Sheila on the windshield of one of her vehicles. The tenant readily admitted he came on the property to leave the note, saying it was the only way he was able to contact Sheila. He agreed not to come back to the farm.
