John Alvin Davis Jr.—Los Angeles, California.
Commanding Officer of the USS Greenfish (SS-351) and the most highly decorated submarine skipper of the Cold War. Gathering intelligence on the Russian Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok Harbor with half of your submarine below crush depth and Soviet torpedoes racing by the hull was rather gutsy. However, with the United States lagging so far behind the Soviets in the space race in 1959, capturing the first Soviet telemetry package north of the Hawaiian Islands by snagging the cords of the parachute with your periscope was truly courageous.
What wonderful memories; I can still envision Diamond Head through the crosshairs of the periscope. What a thrill!
May the sands in front of the Royal Hawaiian always keep shifting—a virtual certainty after a few rounds at the Mai Tai Bar!

intro
Iran continues to threaten Israel, while North Korea taunts the United States by detonating nuclear weapons and launching long-range missiles across the Pacific. However, these threats are suddenly overshadowed by the destruction of the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group as it traverses the Strait of Hormuz and enters the Persian Gulf.
As this crisis of unimaginable magnitude escalates, little attention is paid to several blue, bloated, and grossly disfigured Asian sailors who wash ashore in Galveston, Texas. Likewise, the North Korean cargo ship Il-sung is able to slip into Whiskey Bay, Louisiana, unnoticed, where she off-loads her weapon of mass destruction.
As more Asian sailors become deathly ill from the many weeks spent at sea in close proximity to their lethal cargo, they are transferred to a small hospital in Carencrow, Louisiana, for treatment. Dr. Rex Bent, an emergency room physician, immediately becomes suspicious and notifies the proper authorities.
With their coup de gras in jeopardy, the Islamic extremists realize that not only Dr. Bent, but also his wife and confidant Trissy, must be eliminated without raising suspicion. Pursued and hounded like traitors who have betrayed their country, the Bents are in a race against time, determined to discover the significance of Prussian Blue.
