Как пример системы в системе можно привести человеческий организм. Набор органов (сердце, печень, мозг) и систем (нервная, кровеносная, дыхательная), совокупность различных частей тела (ноги, руки, голова) – это не просто набор органов. Это уже тело с функциями и целями неизмеримо более высокими, чем были у совокупности частей, из которых он состоит.
