Grapefruit
The botanical name of grapefruit translates to “paradise citrus,” and it’s no wonder when you consider the vitamin-filled beauty of this fruit. Grapefruit come in pink, red, or white, each with varying degrees of sweet or tart flavour. All types are low in calories and high in fibre, as well as providing a wealth of fatty acids, vitamins C and A, and calcium. Grapefruit is known as an immunity booster, cholesterol-reducer, metabolism-increaser, and potentially a cancer-preventer as well.
