Sometimes keeping your word is easier said than done...
He’s in town on a mission...
Will she change his mind?
When a lightning storm lands Quinn Sinclair on single mom Belle De La Rosa’s ranch, she finds herself drawn to the handsome conservationist and his children. Belle isn’t looking for love—not while she’s trying to sell part of her ranch to developers to stay afloat. But when she discovers that Quinn’s purpose in town is to stop the sale, can she trust him…with her heart?
Cowboys of Diamondback Ranch
A seventh-generation Texan, JOLENE NAVARRO fills her life with family, faith and life’s beautiful messiness. She knows that as much as the world changes, people stay the same: vow-keepers and heartbreakers. Jolene married a vow-keeper who shows her holding hands never gets old. When not writing, Jolene teaches art to inner-city teens and hangs out with her own four almost-grown kids. Find Jolene on Facebook or her blog, jolenenavarrowriter.com.

Text to speech
“How about dinner? Without the kids, so we can talk.”
“No. I don’t do dinner.”
Quinn raised an eyebrow and looked at Belle as if she’d said something ridiculous.
“What? No one ever tells you no?”
Surprise etched his brow, but then he laughed. “I was confused when you said you don’t do dinner. As in, you have something against eating in the evening?”
“Oh.” Her cheeks burned again. Deep in her gut she knew she would love going out with him, but then he would get to know her and... “I eat dinner, just not with people. I mean, with men.” She groaned. “I don’t date. I just want to be clear on the subject. I never go on dates.”
“That’s a shame. I think you would be a great dinner date.” He grinned, and her stupid heart flipped over.
She needed to stay as far away as possible. She already had one ex-husband, and that was more than enough for her.
Thank you for visiting and hanging out with the De La Rosa family. This is the third in the series and it has been a pleasure to learn their stories.
The coast of Texas is a very special place. One of the inspirations behind this story is Sea Turtle, Inc., in South Padre Island and their work to protect the natural habitats along the coastline.
In the 1980s, Kemp’s ridley sea turtles had almost disappeared, but with joint efforts between Mexico and the US, the turtles are a success story and their numbers are on the rise. They are still endangered, but with the help they are receiving, there is hope.
I encourage you to find an organization that helps clean our oceans and beaches or a project that educates people about the animals that call the ocean and coastal lands home. We are stewards of this beautiful world.
I hope you enjoyed spending time in Port Del Mar with Belle and Quinn and their little family. Hope to see you soon.
