and Cleopatra twisted out of it, rolling to her feet to stand before Caesar—not jewelled and richly dressed as a queen, but completely naked, her young body damp with sweat and glinting in the candlelight.
Caesar was motionless as he looked his fill of this nude Venus who had suddenly appeared before him. He knew her—the young queen of Egypt. But she had come to him as a woman, not a queen, he knew. He gestured and the guards left the room.
Caesar was hers, now—hers to use as she must if she were to live . . . and as the quick hunger of her body demanded. . . .
