Asian Food
is easy and fun!
Welcome to the exciting world of Asian cooking and culture! The recipe in this book allow you to create a whole range of interesting new tastes from every corner of exotic Asia. Yet these dishes are all incredibly easy to make, and they require for the most part common ingredients that are available now in most well-stocked supermarkets. Recipes with one or two stars in the row of icons are the easiest to prepare. The clear, step-by-step instructions and illustrations will guide you. At all times follow the preparation and safety tips, and have fun!
Good
Obtain an adult's permission to use the kitchen. It's a good idea to have an older brother or sister or a parent to help as well. Before you start cooking, get out all of the ingredients and utensils you will need. Each recipe contains drawings of the utensils needed.
Read the whole recipe several times and make sure you really understand it. Follow the recipe exactly.
Always work
Before starting, wash your hands with soap and water. Wash your hands again after you handle raw meat, eggs or fish. Always wash your hands before you eat and after you go to the bathroom.
Be sure to use a clean knife, spoon or fork. Don't just pick one up from the counter or kitchen sink.
Don't sneeze or cough on food. Keep hands away from your face and hair and pets. If you touch your pet, wash your hands before touching food again.
Wear clean clothes or a clean apron. Keep the cooking area clean as you cook. If you spill something, quickly wipe it up.
