Once upon a time, there was a fish merchant. His name was Adam. He was a happy man.
Adam used to spend all his time in his shop. The shop was good. People loved to shop there. Adam and his wife had opened this shop a few years ago. His wife’s name was Mila.
Mila was beautiful and clever. People loved her. She was a good, wise and practical woman. In the store, she stood at the counter. She was always friendly and benevolent. Neighbors came to the store not just to shop but because they liked to talk to her about life and took her advice.
Adam sold freshly caught fish. Mila looked after the shop. Thanks to her efforts, their fish shop was the neatest in the whole city. Every morning Mila opened the door of the store to their customers, everything scrubbed to a gleaming shine.
Their shop windows were always so clean, they sparkled in the sun. Mila wore a smart apron at the counter. She always made sure that her husband looked good and was dressed well.
They had three children. The eldest son was named Roman, their middle son, David and their daughter, Rosa. The children were obedient and diligent. They did well in school. After classes, they always came home together. They ate their lunch and afterwards, did their homework. When this was completed, they went to the store to help their parents.
Roman helped his father to carry the fish containers; David and Rosa cleaned the floor of the store.

One day, on a bright Sunday, a thin black kitten appeared in their store. It was playful, and the children loved the kitten for its merry nature. Like most cats, the kitten loved fish, so the children fed it the leftover fish.
The children were very friendly to the kitten. They asked their parents if they could keep the kitten in the house. Their parents said yes. Thus, the kitten became a member of their family.
The kitten turned out to be female. They took it back to the fisherman’s house and they washed it and fed it well.
Soon, the cat’s fur became glossy and silky. Kitty enjoyed playing with the children; she lived in the same room with them. Whenever one of the children fell ill, the cat slept with that child and in the morning the sudden illness receded.
After the appearance of the cat in the family of the fisherman, great luck came to his house. Money flowed. The years were good; the shop was extended to accommodate the many customers.
