Harry Edward Styles was born on 1 February 1994 and was affectionately given the nickname ‘H’ by his family. His mum Anne and dad Des were overjoyed to have a little boy, and his sister Gemma was glad to have a little playmate. They lived in Evesham, Worcestershire, but moved to Holmes Chapel in Cheshire when he was a baby. Harry’s dad Des is originally from Peterborough.
Harry attended Happy Days Club & Nursery School, and he can still remember the fun he had there. He was a happy child, always laughing and joking, rarely crying. His mum worked in an office and his dad worked for financial corporations in their Operations departments, but he is now the sales and marketing director for a company in Blackburn.
When he was four Harry left nursery and went to Hermitage Primary School, in Holmes Chapel. He made some good friends there, including a boy called Jonathan who is still his friend today. Every year they put on a play at Christmas, with all the children in the school taking part. Some just sang in the choir but Harry enjoyed acting, so he was given big roles. He played the lead one year, as a mouse called Barney, and you can see a video of him performing on YouTube if you search ‘Harry Styles before he was famous’. Harry looks so cute standing on the stage on his own
