Crunch is a young,
great white shark.
Great white sharks have been
swimming around the oceans for
400 million years, give or take a few
million years. Crunch is an apex
predator – king of the food chain. Only
a few other things like humans, orcas
and giant squid are a threat to him.

Megalodon
Great White Shark
Human
He is a descendent of the
humongous shark, Megalodon.
Shark Bites
Megalodon existed approximately 50 million
years ago. They were 20 metres long, weighed
100 tonnes, and were the powerhouse
predator of the entire ocean. They had the
most powerful bite of any creature that has
ever lived. Megalodon had a bite pressure
of over 18 tonnes of force; enough to
crush a family car. Many of its teeth have
been found, some almost 20 centimetres
long. Crunch has a bite pressure of about
1.8 tonnes of force.
Crunch has a dad who is more
than twice his size.
Mature male great white sharks grow to a length of six metres,
and weigh approximately 2,500 kilograms. A few unconfrmed
fishing stories claim to have caught white sharks measuring over
10 metres in length. That is as big as a school bus!
Shark Bites
Unlike people, Crunch doesn’t
have to go to school.
The brains of sharks have developed differently from ours.
They are highly evolved from surviving and hunting in the
oceans for millions of years.
