INTRODUCTION
My first book, “Prayers from Revelations of Divine Love” was inspired after reading Julian of Norwich’s book, “Revelations of Divine Love.” My second book, “Peace be still” inspired by Julian of Norwich and after a visit to the healing well at Penmon Priory and the church there and from my own contemplation.
This book is a continuation of that inspiration. I have endeavoured to show that no matter what trial and tribulation we encounter our faith and the Holy Spirit will help us prevail.
Also if we turn from our self-will and seek God’s will for our life then the problems we had before will disappear as we are given new direction, purpose and joy through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit over our nature.
DEDICATIONS
I would like to thank Brother Edward of the Christian Brothers for proof-reading and editing this book and for his help and advice.
Also my thanks and credit go to Maria Hiles for kindly allowing me to use her photograph of the stained glass window from Penmon Priory. You can view her work on Yahoo flicker.
Kind permission to use the photographs was given by Penmon Priory church.
REVIEW
David has written a book of prayers that should meet most needs, as a glance at the contents page shows.
I love most of the ones that are prefaced by the context of David’s own life. There is a warmth with humanity in these introductions- however; the titles in the contents also show the gist of the prayers.
Anyone who is feeling dry and short of words will find this cornucopia of prayers a rich resource in their needs. Brother Edward of the Christian Brothers.
