ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
There are three people who influenced this book. Each of them has helped us grow as leaders in very different ways.
Richard DuFour—The ultimate teacher and leader, whose collaborative soul helped so many others grow and become more than they ever thought they could be. If the worth of a man is valued by the number of people he impacts, then Rick DuFour has eternal worth.
Robert J. Marzano—An educator’s researcher who can make sense of what needs to be done in order to make the difference in the lives of all children. Not only does he know what works, but he also puts the information in a format that is usable and doable.
Jeff Jones—A businessman who built his business on being the support mechanism that enables others to be all they can be. His mission, which is always at the forefront and drives his work, is centered on advancing the work of others.
It is the support, encouragement, and lessons learned from these three people that made this book possible and changed our lives forever.
