      Preface

Burnout seems to be the topic of the day!

Lately there are countless discussions, articles and books on the topic. They all try to define the reasons for this disease and to create healing methods to ‘repair’ it.

And this is to be a further attempt?

It is, but this book shows an easy approach with simple, applicable practices to harmonize, self-regulate or even fully heal; this all solely with energy and entirely without chemical substances.

Burnout means empty and may lead us to think about a burned out hearth, when nothing further is put inside to burn (BurnInside). Where something is burned out, means that there must have been something flammable before.

We all know expressions like „to burn for a cause or idea“, meaning to show enthusiasm, commitment, dedication and knowledge for something. He who burns for his ideals and work, can perform well and can be burdened with an enormous load of work, because he does his work with enthusiasm. He wants to reach his goals and reap the benefits.

But what happens, when the commitment and enthusiasm remain without the just reward, when the effort fizzles out and success does not come? More often than not, more effort will be made, but most likely with less enthusiasm. That is like trying to restart a fire with only paper to fuel it.

Here the input and output do not keep their balance. Emotional disillusionment and physical exhaustion are the result with a multitude of health issues. The meaning behind one’s actions will be questioned. The existential crisis called ‚burnout‘, is there with all its ambivalent forms and manifestations. The afflicted adequately describe their situation with:

      “I have lost myself”

“I can‘t feel myself any longer”

      “I can’t go on”

      “I feel separated from myself”

      “I have no energy left”…

Herein lies the main purpose of this book, to show practical ways to restock one’s energy level, to regain one’s sense of self again and no longer feel separated and cut off.

This means, to gain access to oneself and one’s existence and soul again and to consciously attain the universal energy of creation.

In this book you will find many answers and easy steps to follow, to help yourself or to let someone else help you achieve the effects of the energy healing of Jin Shin Jyutsu.

      Introduction

For quite some years now, the disease known as burnout continues to spread. It even goes so far as to becoming an epidemic and not only endangering the afflicted, but also their environment, families, friends and employers and even influencing the entire economy.

What kind of illness is this?

      Is it new?

Is it contagious because it spreads so fast?

Is it caused by a virus?

      What are the symptoms?

Do they take a pre-defined course?
