Everyone knows that Icarus came to a bad end attempting to fly, but how many people sympathize with his poor biographer trying to get eyewitness accounts and photos of the event? This is my ninth book on aviation, and I have learnt that much of what an aviation author does is not commune with the Muse but harass innocent people.
