He glanced down at his hand and flexed it. The leather of his glove creaked; his hand inside was stiff. A year ago he’d got into a car accident during a bad bout of fog on the highway. It also comes from my admiration for medical professionals who work under the toughest conditions worldwide to provide healthcare.
Also, this book is about a second chance at love, because I believe there’s always a second chance—especially in light of a tragedy, like the one which separated my hero and heroine years before.
